The City of Portland staff are working diligently to reopen our facilities and services for our residents. Many of our buildings are opening in phases to help ensure safety for our staff and residents. Please see the information below for our anticipated reopening dates, health safety protocols, rules, etc.

Reopened Facilities & Available Services as of 5/29/2020

• Portland Animal Control Unit 
  • Trap rentals are available for curbside pickup and returns
  • Adoption and micro-chipping services have resumed
    • Call 361-777-4444 to reach the Animal Control Unit
• Skate Park
  • Safety Guidelines are posted near the entrance of the park
  • DSHS Guidelines for Parks
• Multi-Purpose Field at the Sports Complex
  • Safety Guidelines are posted near the entrance of the park
  • DSHS Guidelines for Outdoor Sports Participants
• Bell/Whittington Public Library Curbside Service (building is still closed)
