SUMMARY: H.R. 6201, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act

On March 14, 2020 the House of Representatives passed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce supported, Families First Coronavirus Response Act with a vote of 363-40 and one member voting present. The Senate quickly followed, passed the legislation on March 18, 2020 with a vote of 90-8.
President Trump signed the legislation into law on March 18, 2020 making it Public Law No: 116-127.
